Indiana Institutions Tout National Rankings
InsideINdianaBusiness.com Report, August 20, 2009 - For the second year, U.S. News And World Reports lists IUPUI among 77 colleges and universities that were singled out as schools that have recently made the "most promising and innovative changes in academics, faculty, students, campus, or facilities." IUPUI was ranked seventh among national universities "to watch," up from 14th a year ago.

IUPUI Team Doles Out 2,000 Pairs of Shoes
Indianapolis Star, August 20, 2009 - The IUPUI men's basketball team distributed about 2,000 pairs of shoes during its recent trip to Costa Rica. Coach Ron Hunter, whose barefoot coaching has started a grassroots groundswell in basketball circles toward helping impoverished children receive free shoes, organized the trip.

Gavrin Appointed Chair of IUPUI Physics Department

Foundation and the National Institutes of Health, has been named chair of the Department of Physics at the School of Science at IUPUI.
