Punching Parkinson's; Exercise Makes a Difference for Patients with Disease
Indianapolis Star, Feb. 6, 2007 – At Rock Steady Boxing in Indianapolis, a group of people with Parkinson's disease take on “Parkie,” a punching bag . . . “I have seen exercise make a huge difference in the patients' lives,” said Dr. Joanne Wojcieszek, director of the Parkinson's Research Group at the IU School of Medicine.

Depression Is Linked to Hardening of the Arteries, Study Says
- Health Day News, Feb. 6, 2007 - Previous research has suggested that negative emotions like anxiety and anger can increase the risk for heart disease. But in the new study, depression -- and its physical symptoms -- was the emotional linchpin to early signs of heart disease.

Poll: Downtown at Nighttime A Worry
Indianapolis Star, Jan. 10, 2007 - A new survey shows that only 40 percent of Indianapolis residents think of Downtown as a safe place to live, work and socialize after dark.
