Golfers Hit the Green for United Way

A team from Coca Cola - Marcia Craney (left to right), Don Staton, Todd Craney, and Chris Miller - won the 2006 Robert E. Martin Charity Golf Invitational. The 18-hole Florida Scramble event, held June 16 at Raccoon Lake Golf Course, raised $5,300 to benefit the United Way.

IUPUI Police Captain William Abston, second from right, recently participated in the Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics, the largest grass-roots fundraiser and public awareness vehicle for Special Olympics. The Torch Run by law enforcement officers leads up to each state’s Special Olympics Summer Games.
