Reported Abduction at IUPUI Did Not Occur

The investigation of the reported abduction attempt in IUPUI parking lot 69, 800 W. North, on February 28, 2006, has been completed and it has been determined that the crime did not occur.

This was determined by statements made by the victim during the course of the investigation, including an admission that the crime did not occur.

The result of the investigation will be forwarded to the prosecutor’s office to determine if any charges will be filed.

The IUPUI Police Department would like to thank the media for getting the information to the community and thank the community for its help in trying to provide vital information.
