House of Champions Swimfest

Don’t miss the chance to see swimming in the finest facility in the country this weekend when IUPUI hosts its annual House of Champions meet. The Jaguars swim on Friday at 6:30 p.m. and have two sessions on Saturday.

General Assembly Is Resolute in Honoring Indiana University Cancer Physicians

Goodwill Greenhouse Invitation

The Goodwill Greenhouse invites all IUPUI faculty, staff and students to its annual open house on Friday, December 2 and Saturday, December 3 at the greenhouse, 1635 W. Michigan St.

Open house hours are 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. December 2, and 9 a.m. to noon December 3.

Enjoy refreshments! Select from lovely poinsettias in several sizes and colors, decorated Norfolk pines, cyclamen, amaryllis and many other gift plants.

Goodwill Greenhouse is open to the public. Regular hours are 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Children’s Museum Holiday Night for IUPUI Alumni, Faculty and Staff

IUPUI faculty and staff, and their families, are welcome to attend the IUPUI Alumni Holiday Night at the Children’s Museum of Indianapolis from 6:30 to 9 p.m., December 13. The museum is reserved exclusively for the annual IUPUI holiday event. Ride the carousel, take a turn on the Yule Slide and visit Santa Claus. Food and beverage are provided and parking is free. The museum is located at 3000 N. Meridian Street, Indianapolis.

Holiday Night prices, which include entertainment, food and museum admission, are $16 for adults; and $8.50 for children, ages 3 to 12. Children 2 and under will be admitted free of charge.

Signed Mellencamp Limited-Edition Fine Art Prints Available for Purchase

John Mellencamp paintings will be on display in the Herron Galleries at the Herron School of Art and Design through January 7, 2006. In addition to viewing the exhibition, the public has the opportunity to purchase limited-edition fine art prints signed by the artist.

Mellencamp selected four paintings from which the prints were made. The paintings are: Skeletons, Cain and Able, Dignity in America and Coast to Coast. There are 50 prints in each edition and all are signed and numbered...

Indianapolis Tennis Center Director Serves as CITA President

Rick Van Horn, director of the Indianapolis Tennis Center at IUPUI, has been elected president of the Central Indiana Tennis Association. The CITA promotes tennis, maintains player rankings, sanctions tournaments, and manages league play in 61 Central Indiana counties.

The Indianapolis Tennis Center is the site of the annual RCA men’s hard courts championships and serves IUPUI and the central Indiana tennis-playing public with league play, lessons, and court time.
