Members of IUPUI men's soccer team are shown sharing gifts with children at the Kittle's Head Start Needy Children's Christmas Party on Friday, Dec.5. The soccer team, along with Coach Steve Franklin, participated in this community service project. In addition to donating soccer balls, Jaguar hats and T-shirts, the student-athletes signed autographs and spent time visiting with the children.

Oxford to Lead International Neuroscience Association
Gerry S. Oxford, Ph.D., executive director of the Stark Neurosciences Research Institute at the Indiana University School of Medicine, has been named president-elect of the Association of Neuroscience Departments and Programs (ANDP). He will serve a one-year term as president of the organization beginning in 2004.
The ANDP serves as a forum for discussion of issues such as funding, faculty development and training that face neuroscience departments and centers. The association has more than 200 members in the United States and other countries.
IU Trustees hear recommendations to keep Camp Brosius in operation
The Indiana University Board of Trustees on Dec. 5 heard recommendations of a task force, appointed in September by IU President Adam W. Herbert, that will allow Camp Brosius to continue operation as a family camp and academic instructional facility with certain stipulations and organizational changes. Herbert will implement those recommendations.
