The works of photographic artist William Rasdell are born of the discontentment Rasdell says he has always experienced behind a camera lens.

Twenty-two of Rasdell's creations are on display through the first week of October at the IUPUI Cultural Arts Gallery, located in Room 115, University College (UC 115).

“I have never been satisfied with capturing a single image on film,” Rasdell said. “Most of my work includes blurred images with flowing colors that represent the continuation of a particular moment in time.”

Rasdell combines traditional and digital technology to express his photographic vision. His images explore cultural relationships found in daily life and custom throughout Cuba, Puerto Rico, Jamaica, Mexico, Barbados, Grenada, Trinidad/Tobago and across the United States .

For information on gallery hours, call (317) 274-3931.
