Soon-to-be Docs Set Sights on Residences Nationwide
On the eve of spring, 253 Indiana University School of Medicine students achieved a milestone by matching to residency programs across the nation where they will continue their medical training.

Got Food! Jinx the Jaguar was on hand March 22 for the opening of Jaguar Junction in University College. Upbeat signs and sleek wood serving counters create a contemporary décor for the food service facility. The signs mark service areas such as the Trattoria (pizza and pasta), Ritazza (gourmet coffee and espresso), and Out Takes (ready-to-go sandwiches, soups, salads and beverages).

The IUPUI Underground, the food service operation in Cavanaugh Hall, is scheduled to open March 29.

Hours for both locations will be 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 7:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday.



Lt. Gov. Katherine Davis, an engineering graduate from MIT, spoke to engineering students and faculty about how the State of Indiana plans to boost the state’s economy and develop new jobs.


Twenty-four Indianapolis area high school psychology teachers met at IUPUI recently for a conference that presented activities and resources for classroom use and offered them opportunities for professional development and networking.

Cervidae, created by ceramicist Mia Fetterman, is available for viewing at the Herron Gallery through April 3. The ceramic exhibit is part of an invitational show that ran in conjunction with a national ceramic conference earlier this month.

Herron’s Janus Ball 2004 Goes Hollywood
The glitter of Tinsel Town will come to Indy, as Herron Goes Hollywood for Janus Ball 2004, Herron School of Art’s annual fund-raiser. The event, scheduled 7 p.m. to midnight, Saturday, April 17 at the Indiana Roof Ballroom, 140 W. Washington St., will invite guests to mingle on the red carpet, stroll down a Hollywood Walk of Fame and bid on artwork at Herron’s Hollywood Boutique. Hosted by the Friends of Herron, all proceeds will benefit Herron School of Art programs.

On Friday, April 2, NASA and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) officials will participate in the dedication of the final plaque for an IUPUI monument that is a key reference point for mapping America.
