IUPUI Chemists Develop Distributed Drug Discovery: Finding Drugs for Neglected Diseases
Researchers from Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI) have developed Distributed Drug Discovery (D3), a new low-cost strategy to accelerate the discovery of drugs to treat neglected diseases such as tuberculosis, leprosy, leshmaniasis, dengue fever, and Chagas disease.

Curtis Dedicates Book on "New Black Gods" to School of Liberal Arts
Most authors dedicate their books to family members or inspirational figures. IUPUI professor Edward Curtis has dedicated his latest volume, "The New Black Gods: Arthur Huff Fauset and the Study of African American Religions" (IU Press, 2009) to the IU School of Liberal Arts at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis.

IU-Wishard Land Swap Offers Opportunities for Both Parties, Chancellor Says
A possible land swap beween Indiana University and Wishard Hospital creates the opportunity to advance the master plans of both IUPUI and Wishard, says IUPUI Chancellor Charles R. Bantz.
The Indiana University Board of Trustees on June 12 approved a plan that would enable the Health and Hospital Corp. of Marion County to swap land with the university so that it could eventually build a new Wishard Memorial Hospital facility directly west of the IUPUI campus.

IU license plates fund scholarships for 28 IUAA Scholars
The Indiana University Alumni Association recently announced the recipients of the IUAA Scholars program scholarships. The IUAA Scholars program, now in its 15th year, awarded a total of 28 scholarships valued at $1,000 each for this academic year.
One scholarship is designated for a qualifying applicant from each of Indiana University's eight campuses, and the remaining awards are given on an at-large basis. Each recipient is the son or daughter of an IUAA member. Scholarships are granted based on academic achievement and financial need.
