Giving to the next generation
After using his IUPUI education to launch his career in the biotechnology industry, School of Science alumnus Kent Hawryluk is eager to give back. His recent gift of $500,000 will establish a scholarship for School of Science juniors and seniors who are working to fund their education and contribute to the STEM workforce.Read more about the scholarship
The spirit of competition
Regatta isn’t your average sports competition. In this annual event, members of the IUPUI community join in a canoe race on the downtown canal. In addition to watching the race, this year’s fans shopped for souvenirs, played Battleship on the water, and dressed up in costumes.See photos from the event
A tradition of caring
In an effort to attract more volunteers from the community, IUPUI is moving this year’s Day of Caring to coincide with Homecoming and Family Weekend on October 29. As part of the long-running tradition, campus volunteers will team up with United Way to tackle projects like painting, cleaning, and groundskeeping for local organizations in need of help.Read more about the Day of Caring
