Whether you're looking to transform young lives through physical and health education or want to find fulfillment in a physical activity and sports-related career, our physical education teacher education major is the key to this professional path.
Our program will prepare you to engage others in physical activity and sport and provides many options for student teaching and working within the community for hands-on experiences. You'll work closely with expert faculty to develop before-, during-, and after-school fitness programming for pre-kindergarten through 12th-grade students and will teach classes before you graduate.
All graduates are dually licensed in physical and health education and receive a license to teach at all grade levels in Indiana.
In addition to becoming teachers, our graduates also serve as team coaches and after-school program directors. Many are promoted to principal and other administrative school positions. You might also direct a youth camp or youth sports organization.
