Student Success

This story is about a transfer student, an international student, and a nontraditional student. But this isn't a story about three different people, just Jaehyo Yu. He has had to overcome many obstacles associated with moving across the globe, academics, and finding a university that was the right fit. Jaehyo is involved in several student organizations at IUPUI, and he is the perfect example of how committing to the total student experience can result in huge payoffs.

Campus Success

This year, IUPUI will celebrate the 10th anniversary of a building that took its place as the heart of campus life. IUPUI hasn't been the same since. The creation of the Campus Center was a long time coming and involved input from people from all areas of IUPUI in order to make the building the best it could be. From the moment it officially opened, it was hugely popular with the entire campus community.

Predicting social harm

Faculty Success

When George Mohler was an undergraduate mathematics student at IU, he had no idea that his work would eventually have the potential to shape crime prevention and incident response for major metropolitan police departments. Now as a professor in computer science at IUPUI, George and his team are currently researching whether the property crime models used successfully in Los Angeles can be extended to handle the wide array of social harm in Indianapolis.
