Implement the Department Web Template

The Department Web Template is plaform-independent; it can be installed on virtually any web server. To implement the template, your site must utilize the template's code base.

If your website is not currently in the IUPUI template

If your site is in the IUPUI template

Step 1: Customize the page header

Once you have viewed the header options, submit the header request form.

Once the graphic has been created, the IUPUI webmaster will provide you with instructions to implement it on your site. This includes XHTML code which replaces code in your navigation files.

Step 2: Install the "skin" — the color palette

Select a skin, then make one simple change to your template's XHTML.

Change:

<div id="page">

to:

<div id="page" class="SKINCOLOR">

Available values for SKINCOLOR are:

black
lightGray
olive
midnight
gold

e.g. <div id="page" class="lightGray">

Values are CASE SENSITIVE — capitalization matters!
