1.) The University Writing Center will open for the Spring Semester on 1/19. Both Cavanaugh 427 and University Library 2125 will be open this spring. Hours are available on the Locations & Hours page. 2.) The University Writing Center will be closed for Spring Break from Sunday, March 14th to Monday, March 22nd. 3.) Hours may vary from semester to semester; however, the University Writing Center is CLOSED when undergraduate classes are not in session due to holidays or school breaks (i.e., Thanksgiving, Winter Break, Spring Break, etc.). 4.) ALL undergraduate tutoring sessions are 30 minutes long. This includes both ESL/EAP (English as Second Language/ English for Academic Purposes) students and native English speakers. Graduate students and faculty may schedule 60-minute sessions if they are available. 5.) Tutors cannot "sign off" on student papers; however, we will be happy to send a Confirmation of Student Visit form to your instructor. 6.) We currently cannot work with papers sent via e-mail for review. We also do not accept papers "dropped off" for review. To receive assistance, writers must attend a session with a UWC tutor.
