Employment

The IUPUI University Writing Center employs faculty members and specially trained students as tutors. If you are interested in becoming a member of the UWC team, please e-mail faculty tutor Lynn Jettpace at ljettpac@iupui.edu or our Coordinator, Tere Molinder Hogue, at tmhogue@iupui.edu.

Each fall semester, IUPUI undergraduate students accepted into the Writing Fellows program enroll in ENG-W396, the Writing Fellows Training Seminar. Over the course of the semester, fledgling tutors interact with UWC staff, learn the day-to-day operations of the UWC, and begin tutoring students. Each student who successfully earns a grade of "A" in ENG-W396, and who completes his or her in-house training, may then become a paid UWC employee at the beginning of the following spring semester.
