Ian Albers

Undergraduate: Purdue University, Bachelor of Science in Physics
Graduate: IUPUI Transition to Teaching Program toward M.S. Secondary Education
Interests/Background: Grew up attending public schools in Indianapolis, and now teach in those schools. I enjoy integrating arts into the sciences and vice versa. I have been able to do some of that in my position at Broad Ripple High School teaching physics. Outside of the classroom, I enjoy games and books, and anything else that gets my brain going.

Rebecca Schini

Undergraduate: IUPUI, Bachelor of Arts in Biology
Graduate: IUPUI Transition to Teaching Program, M.S. Secondary Education
Interests/Background: I have previous experience as a Microbiologist/Analytical Chemist in Industry. My research was in cell production. As a teacher, I have developed an international competition for high school students in synthetic biology, developed multiple mentorship opportunities for my students to experience research, scientific writing and presentations. I want to provide enriching curriculum to challenge my students.

Interests/Background: I like learning about the world around me and sharing that knowledge with my students. I enjoy playing sports, obscure board games and coaching Lego Robotics. Ultimately, my favorite thing is to relax and spend time with my wife and son.
