Dr. Sam Cotton is a full-time professor in the Department of Technology at  Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana.

Dr. Cotton has many years experience in business and education. He has taught in secondary career and technical education. His career and technical teaching areas include drafting/CAD, technology education, and cooperative education. Dr. Cotton was also involved in Skill USA-VICA and has taken students on to national competition. His educational preparation is in trade and industrial education with a B.S. in industrial technology education, M.S. in vocational trade industrial and technical education from Ball State University, and a Ph.D. from Purdue University in curriculum and instruction. He has worked with the OS I program for over fourteen years, five years as the OS I Training Program University Consortium Director, coordinating the OS I Training Program. He also is the primary instructor and advisory for both the undergraduate and graduate Career and Technical Education Teacher Education programs at Ball State University for the Trade and Industrial program areas.

    " Welcome to the world of Vocational Education. I transitioned through the worlds of Architecture, Automotive, and Construction to Education. I taught high school vocational drafting for several years before moving to post-graduate teacher education. I have been teaching at the post-secondary level for eleven years. I possess a bachelor's degree in Industrial Technology Education, a master's degree in Vocational Education, and a Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction. I am a Past President of both the Indiana Association for Career and Technical Education (INDACTE) and the Association for Career and Technical Education Administrators."

 

Dr. Charlie Feldhaus, IUPUI, is the WS I instructor  at the  Prosser School of Technology remote (face-to-face) class  site.

   

 

 

 

 

 

 

Dr. Charlie Feldhaus  is a full-time professor in the Computer, Information, and  Leadership Technology Department  at IUPUI, Indiana University-Purdue University at Indianapolis.  Dr. Feldhaus is the Director of Graduate Programs for the Purdue School of Engineering and Technology at IUPUI, Indiana University-Purdue University at Indianapolis.

Dr. Feldhaus has over 20 years experience as a K-12 educator in Career and Technical Education. He started his career at Bedford North Lawrence High School as an instructor of Radio and Television and also served as principal of the largest Career and Technical Center in Indiana, Prosser School of Technology in New Albany, Indiana. For three years, Dr. Feldhaus served as Director of Student Services for Greater Clark County Schools (GCCS), a large, urban school corporation of nearly 11,000 students and his duties included leadership for all Career and Technical Programs at GCCS. Dr. Feldhaus is a longtime member of the Indiana Association of Career and Technical Education and the National Association for Career and Technical Education. He has been active at the state, national and international level as a career and technical educator.

After receiving his doctorate in Educational Administration from the University of Louisville in 1999, Dr. Feldhaus began his post-secondary teaching career with the Purdue School of Engineering and Technology at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis. He is currently an Associate Professor of Organizational Leadership and Supervision.  In addition, Dr. Feldhaus is a regional facilitator for Indiana Project Lead the Way and the Indiana Science, Technology, Engineering and Math Resource Network (I-STEM). Dr. Feldhaus is the Principal Investigator (P.I.or co-P.I.) on numerous grants.

His research interests include K-12 STEM education, K-12 teacher training in STEM areas, as well as organizational ethics and change.

 

Dr. David Nickolich, IUPUI, is the WS I instructor  at the Central Nine Career Center remote (face-to-face) class  site, and the WS I Training Program University Consortium Director, coordinating the WS I Training Program for  the 2009-2010 school year.

   

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Dr. David Nickolich is a full-time professor in the Computer, Information, and  Leadership Technology Department at IUPUI, Indiana University-Purdue University at Indianapolis.  Dr. Nickolich is the Director of STEM Initiatives for the Purdue School of Engineering and Technology at IUPUI, Indiana University-Purdue University at Indianapolis. STEM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics.

Dr. Nickolich has many years of experience in business and in education. He has taught at the university and high school levels. David taught Project Lead the Way (PLTW) courses as a full-time high school Technology Education teacher, teaching the Introduction to Engineering Design (IED) and the Principles of Engineering (POE) PLTW courses.  Dr. Nickolich teaches at both the undergraduate and graduate levels for IUPUI.  He is a full-time faculty member at IUPUI with faculty appointments in both the Organizational Leadership and Supervision and the Computer and Information Technology programs.

He has taught Introduction to Industrial Organization, Statistical Quality Control, Engineering Economy (Finance,) Introduction to Computers and Technology, Applied Leadership, Critical Thinking,   Project Management, Organizational Ethics, Organizational Behavior, Leadership Theories and Processes, and Systems and Design for Purdue programs at IUPUI and Purdue Universities.  David has also taught Data Communications, Grant Proposal Writing, Workplace Skills, Customer Service, and other information technology and organizational behavior courses.

David has earned the SPHR, the highest human resources professional credential.   He is an avid user of educational technology. His six degrees are from Ball State University, Indiana University (MBA, Kelley School of Business), and Purdue University.   His doctorate is in Adult, Higher, and Community Education. David has a MAE in  Educational Administration and Supervision.  Dr. Nickolich is the Principal Investigator (P.I.or co-P.I.) on numerous grants.

Dr. Jim Smallwood, ISU, is the S I instructor  at the Porter County Career and Technical Center remote (face-to-face) class  site.

 

 

Dr. Jim Smallwood  is a full-time professor at Indiana State University, Terre Haute, Indiana.

Dr. Smallwood taught seven years in the public schools in Indiana, 14 years at Morehead State University and eight years now as Professor and Chair at Indiana State University.  Jim  has taught several courses over the years related to Career and Technical Education. 

Dr. Smallwood is a certified Manufacturing Technologist, Society of Manufacturing Engineers.   Jim has four degrees from Indiana State University and the University of Evansville.   His Ph.D. is in Curriculum and Instruction, Industrial Technology Education. Jim has a master's in Industrial Education a bachelor's  degree in Industrial Arts  Education.

Dr. Smallwood has many awards and over 20 professional publications on technology related topics.   Jim's research interest include: automation, distance learning, manufacturing, technology education, and environmental issues.
