SPEA Opportunities

SPEA offers many opportunities to enrich your academic career.  If you have any questions, or need to work with an advisor to include an additional opportunity in your academic plan, please contact the Undergraduate Programs and Advising Office at 812-855-0635 or speaugrd@indiana.edu.

Scholarships : Competitive scholarships are available to incoming and continuing students.  Applications for continuing students are processed once a year; recipients are notified in the spring for the following academic year.

Accelerated Masters Program : A competitive program that allows the student to complete both their undergraduate and master's degrees in five years.  Students complete some graduate requirements their senior year of undergraduate studies.

Honors Program : SPEA's Honors Program provides challenging coursework and individualized research opportunities for SPEA's highest-achieving undergraduates

IU in DC : A unique pair of programs, the Washington Leadership Program and Health Policy Leadership Program allow you to live, study, and intern in Washington DC.  

Nonprofit Leadership Alliance : Formerly the American Humanics Program, the mission of the Nonprofit Leadership Alliance, a national organization with a chapter here at IU, is to prepare and certify future leaders in the nonprofit sector.

SPEA Undergraduate Student Ambassadors : This selective group of dedicated students interacts with prospective students and parents while enhancing their professional and networking skills.
