The ACT Center of Indiana is a collaboration of the Schools of Science (Department of Psychology) and Social Work at IUPUI, the Adult and Child Mental Health Center of Indianapolis, and the Richard L. Roudebush VA Medical Center. It is our mission to integrate research and practice to promote implementation of and continued commitment to high-quality, recovery-focused, evidence-based practices for adults with severe mental illness. Through training, research, and technical assistance, we strive to assist mental health providers implement evidence-based practices such as Assertive Community Treatment (ACT)and Illness Management and Recovery (IMR) with high fidelity models and strong recovery outcomes for consumers of those services. Our approach is to combine training and implementation with ongoing program evaluation and research.
