Advanced Information Technology Core

Summary

The Advanced IT Core leverages the combined resources of the University Information Technology Services (UITS) to provide information technology solutions to problems confronted by researchers and to partner in innovative approaches to medical research. In particular, AITC helps researchers in Health Care and related sciences to overcome the challenges of: -Exponential growth and increasing complexity of research data, -the need for orders of magnitude increase in computational power for analysis, and -requirements for robust and scalable applications for dissemination and participation in national consortia. The AITC helps provide storage of critical or sensitive research data, solving computational or data intensive research challenges, visualizing complex 3D and 4D data, management and dissemination of research data, access to national computational grid environments, and strategic partnering in grant solicitation.
