The IUPUI Solution Center’s Nonprofit Solutions Initiative

As part of the IUPUI Solution Center, the Nonprofit Solutions program is an extension of IUPUI’s work in the community to assist nonprofit organizations. Nonprofit Solutions was created to serve as a central source of information for identifying consultants and building successful consulting partnerships through access to qualified, experienced vendors, consultants, and other resources; education and training; referrals to relevant programming; and connections to IUPUI faculty, students, and funding.

Nonprofit Solutions is supported by funders from the philanthropic community who believe in the Solutions Center’s goal to develop a capacity-building resource program that will benefit Central Indiana nonprofit organizations: the Annie E. Casey Foundation, Central Indiana Community Foundation, Nina Mason Pulliam Charitable Trust, Clowes Fund, Local Initiative Support Corporation (LISC), and NPower.

Anyone who is a regular user of consultants and contractors will have a special appreciation for the value that can be realized through the following services and resources:

  • Online technology tools that provide easy access to a diverse, and growing, pool of consultants.
  • Access staff members who can assist nonprofits and consultants with questions, in seeking information and guidance in use of the online system, or for additional information to connect to University resources and talent.
  • Partnerships with Central Indiana organizations and University programs for training and education opportunities directly applicable to consultants and nonprofits.
  • Referrals to internship programs and other community-service initiatives designed to place talented students in nonprofit organizations for internships and projects.
  • Robust reporting, tracking, and accountability measures for overall activity, specific engagements, general feedback, and education/training programs.
