Professional Development

The Office of Community Engagement provides next-level training and professional development programs designed to meet the needs of Indiana’s professionals, workforce, and employers. Programming includes professional development classes open to the public that build knowledge of new or developing fields, increase existing skills and knowledge, and allow professional students to explore new skills and career opportunities and customized business and education programs that build employee skills. Many of the classes and programs lead to certificates and continuing education credits (CEUs) for professionals.

  • Business and Management:  Enhance performance and efficiency in a wide range of areas from project management, accounting, and finance, to entrepreneurial thinking, and human resources management.
  • Health and Medical:  Increase performance through intermediate and advanced training in pharmacy tech, patient service, and medical coding.
  • Leadership and Supervisory Skills:  Sharpen skills and increase efficiency through training in communication, supervision, leadership, management, project management, lean management, and Six Sigma.
  • Specialized Career Certifications:  Prepare for certification through Preparation for the SHRM Certified Professional and SHRM Senior Certified Professional exam, or gain certification in Human Resource Management, and Pharmacy Tech.
  • Technology:  Keep up with or grow expertise in databases, operating systems, social media, and office software.
