The World Police and Fire Games fund is intended to assist full time or retired police officers and firefighters in their pursuit of an education. The Katharine A. Belzer Scholarship fund was established to help students enrolled in the fields of occupational therapy or physical therapy. Students that demonstrate the potential to contribute significantly to their profession are chosen by the faculty in their program based upon academic and professional performance. This scholarship is awarded to students entering the final year of their academic program. For SPEA students in the final year of their program, open to both graduate and undergraduate students. Students must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher. Essay describing your long-term career goals, transcript and at least one letter of recommendation from a SPEA faculty member or community leader will be required. Open to graduate students (either part-time or full-time) who have completed at least 18 credit hours toward a Master of Health Administration. Students are required to submit a current résumé and a copy of their best paper. This paper must demonstrate your interest and knowledge of health administration. The applicant must also complete a personal statement explaining an interest in health care management, career goals and need for financial assistance. The Center on Philanthropy at Indiana University offers full and partial tuition scholarships to several incoming students each year who are pursuing the MA in philanthropic studies, the MPA in Nonprofit Management, or a dual degree.
