Roman Art from the Louvre

Attendees should meet at 10:00 a.m. in the IMA main
lobby. The tour will begin promptly at 10:15 a.m. and last approximately
one hour, but attendees should feel free to continue viewing the
exhibit afterwards. The IMA has wheel chairs available.
The Indianapolis Museum of Art is the first U.S. venue for this
exhibition of original works from the Muse??e de Louvre in Paris.
Organized by the American Federation of Arts and the Muse?e du Louvre,
the traveling exhibition represents the largest number of loaned
pieces for the Louvre for any single show.
Costs: Admission to this special exhibit tour is $10.00 However,
special exhibits are free for IMA members and a number of guests,
depending on the type of membership. If you are an IMA member, please
bring your membership card so that the IMA can determine if we have
enough member and guest privileges to cover non-IMA-members. Everyone
will be asked to contribute $1.00 for the tour guide. Free underground
and surface parking is available.
Lunch: Lunch will be available at the IMA café, which features
various sandwiches, salads, beverages and an entree? of the day.
Ample seating is available. Puck’s is also open for lunch.
After lunch, feel free to explore the permanent collection, grounds,
gardens, greenhouse and Lilly House and shop at the museum, greenhouse
or Better-than-new stores.
