We will be shown some of the library's collection of rare books including the Gutenberg Bible (New Testament), the Declaration of Independence, Washington's letter accepting the Presidency, the Audobon Folio and more. The group tour will begin at 10:30 in the lobby and will take about one hour.
In addition to the main gallery of the library, it now houses a special exhibit honoring the 100 th year of the IU School of Medicine. This display includes Paracelsus' 1536 book on surgical techniques, Vesalius' 1543 anatomical work, De Humani Corporis Fabrica, William Harvey's 1628 book on the circulation of blood, Sir Charles Bell's rare book, Idea of New Anatomy of the Brain and Benjamin Franklin's booklet on preventing smallpox by inoculation.
The lounge is displaying selected books of Victorian Britian.

Pay parking is located in the Indiana Memorial Union parking lot, which is adjacent to the Union Building at 900 East 7 th Street . Your ticket will be validated at the Lilly Library for reduced cost parking. If you have a blue IUPUI parking sticker you may use university parking for free.
The Art Museum is in close proximity and may be visited in the afternoon or you may wish to spend more time at the library, which is open until 6 pm .
