In his remarks during the Annual Meeting of the Senior
Academy, Chancellor Bantz highlighted the arrival of the Herron
School of Art to the UIPUI Campus. He urged members who did not
attend the opening to visit the School.
The Senior Academy will host a tour of this wonderful
new facility on Wednesday, November 2, 2005. Julie Schaefer will
be our tour leader and will recruit additional persons based on
the number of reservations.
Please plan to park and arrive at the west door of
the School fifteen minutes before the tour is scheduled to begin,
that is at 9:45 am. The tour will last one hour.
Parking is available in the Natatorium Garage at the
rate of $2 for 2 hours plus a dollar for each additional hour. Parking
is also available at the Eiteljorg Museum Garage. Lunch is planned
following the tour in the Canal Cafe located on the second floor
of the Indiana State Museum (next to Ayres Tea Room). The Cafe menu
offers a choice of luncheon items to please everyone.
The Manager of the Cafe welcomes our group.
The School and Museum are a short distance apart.
It is possible to enter the Museum from the Canal side. After lunch,
you may wish to visit the Museum or enjoy a stroll along the Canal.
