Marilyn Schultz, former Vice President of Indiana State University, former State Representive in the Indiana General Assembly and former State Budget Director will talk to us about the long-running and seemingly intractable efforts to reform Indiana’s outdated township trustee form of government, as recommended in a study by Randall Shepard, Chief Justice of the Indiana Supreme Court and Joe Kernan, former Lt. Governor of Indiana.
The General Assembly has considered this issue in the past, but little progress has been made. Ms. Schultz will tell us what the issues are; will talk about “grass roots politics” and what the future may hold.
