Sponsorship

    One of the biggest challenges for IUPUI Crew in the next few years is to secure reliable funding. Rowing in Regattas and constant practice will come at considerable cost to each athlete.  The students have to cover the bills for training camps, entry fees, transport and kit, and these can run into hundreds of dollars.  This is a large burden for full-time students and could potentially lead to elitism, preventing some talented oarsmen from rowing for the university on financial grounds alone.  In addition to covering the many other costs of running a successful boat club, we are always seeking funds to pay for the purchase and renewal of equipment to allow us to race at the highest level. While we strive to reach a level of professionalism that rivals that of the better-known IUPUI Varsity sports, we are at an immense disadvantage because unlike most other college rowing clubs, we receive almost no institutional support, and have to be largely self-funding.  Our success in this is limited more by the club's resources than by our ability.

    There are several sponsorship levels constantly available to any company or individual seeking to increase their profile and exposure both within the local Indianapolis public arena, as well as markets outside of Indianapolis do to the many Regattas we participate in each year.
