If an emergency occurs on campus, you want to know about it as soon as possible.
Update your emergency contact information
Keep your emergency contact information current through OneStart. To do this:
- Log into OneStart at http://onestart.iu.edu/.
- Click the Notifications tab on the top.
- Click IU-Notify on the left. You will see your contact information. Click the appropriate link to change your information.
What is this "JagAlert?"
To aid in the education of IUPUI students, faculty, staff, and visitors, IUPUI combines all of its emergency notification systems described herein into a single system concept called “JagAlert.” The mass notification system that distributes emergency messages via phone, text and e-mail is called “IU-Notify.” Regardless of which notification methods or media are utilized, to the recipient, all emergency notification and warning messages will be titled with “JagAlert.”
The JagAlert concept contains the following emergency notification systems:
- Sirens (Outdoor, City-Owned)
- SMS Text Messaging *
- E-mail *
- Reverse-Dialing (Phone Calls) *
- IUPUI Website (currently any within the Core template)
- Nextel Radio System
- 800 MHz Radio System
- NOAA Weather Radios
- Emergency Alert Radios (VHF)
- Call Hotline/Weather/Emergency Voicemail – 317-278-1600
- AM 1610 Radio
- JagTV (IUPUI Television Station)
- IUPUI Radio
- Media News Release / Press Conference
- Local Television Stations
- Local Radio Stations
- IUPUI Network Login Pages
* denotes systems which are reliant upon IU-Notify registration
