Clinical history
Woman of 50 years.
Cutaneous lesions evoking a mastocytosis associated with a recent splenomegaly.
Hyperleucocytosis and anemia.
No previous treatment.


Details of gross/microscopic pathology:
Bone marrow biopsy
Fixation in Bouin fixative.


Immunophenotype (flow cytometry/immunohistochemistry):
The nests of spindle cells were stained with CD117 and tryptase antibodies.

Cytogenetics:
No cytogenetics for this case.

Molecular analysis:
No molecular analysis.

Interesting feature(s) of submitted case:
The association of a myeloproliferative syndrome and a sytemic mastocytosis.

Proposed diagnosis:
Bone marrow mastocytosis associated with a myeloproliferative syndrome looking like an osteomyelosclerosis.

Panel diagnosis:
SM-AHNMD/CIMF

Comments:
Studies performed by the panel: no amplification for c-kit, probably WT JAK-2
