The Olaniyan Scholars Program facilitates connections with community organizations and internship opportunities for scholars.  During a scholar’s first and second years in the program, we do not encourage scholars to participate in community internships during the academic year.  This allows scholars time to adjust to the demands of the program and other academic and extracurricular activities.

Please keep in mind that since first and second year scholars do not have to split their time between research work  and community internships during the academic year, scholars will be asked to devote more time to successfully completing their research projects and maintaining a 3.0 grade point average each semester.
