Up to $ 2,000 for students in Liberal Arts. Strong preference is given to foreign language majors or students studying in a non-English speaking country at the junior and senior level. BEAUDRY Summer Scholarships for French and Francophone Studies:
One scholarship awarded per year to an IUPUI student participating in a summer study abroad French language and culture program in France or another Francophone country. Preference will be given to French language majors. DEADLINE: February, for the following year.

Marius J. FAURE Family Scholarship:
This $ 1,000 scholarship, is awarded each year to an outstanding student who has declared a major in French language and literature at IUPUI. Not specifically for study abroad, it would nevertheless assist the student in participating in a program abroad.

Max KADE German American Study Abroad Scholarship:
Two $ 500 scholarships, for studying German in an approved study abroad program. Open to German majors or minors, as well as other majors who will earn credits toward their degrees. DEADLINE: March, for the following year.

The School of Liberal Arts Dean's Fellows Scholarships for Overseas Study:
Up to $ 2,500 for students in Liberal Arts. This program is aimed at students who have completed at least 24 hours of course work and who have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0. Students must plan to attend an overseas study program that offers opportunities for immersion and reflection. Each applicant must complete an application form (available in the Langsam Office of Student Affairs, CA401), give a complete description of the program the student hopes to attend, complete a reflective essay addressing how this opportunity will benefit the student's personal and career goals, submit a copy of the applicant's transcript (unofficial printounts are sufficient) and submit a letter of recommendation from a Liberal Arts faculty member. DEADLINE: February 1, for the following year.

The Gail and William Plater Scholarship for Civic Engagement:
Up to $750 will be awarded for the summer or academic year. Recipients may be undergraduate or graduate students in the IU School of Liberal Arts at Indianapolis that may be connected with the public scholars program or similar programs that may enable students to learn through their engagement with the community regardless of the physical location of the activity (i.e., it may be international as well as local). Faculty, who will serve as mentor to the student, will nominate recipients.
