BEGINNING FRESHMEN
Minimum requirements for the admission of beginning freshmen are the following:
- Completion of at least 12 years of primary and secondary schooling;
- Completion of a challenging course of study in secondary school designed to prepare you for study at a university;
- Graduation diploma, school certificate, or certificate of education showing completion of secondary school; and
- Strong grades or marks in secondary school course work and/or examinations(overall GPA ≥ 2.50).
If you are unsure whether your schooling qualifies you for admission to undergraduate level study,
you may consult our website at for a list of required
credentials by country
U.S. citizens and permanent residents are considered for admission under the domestic
freshman application criteria listed.
TRANSFER STUDENTS
If you have completed courses at another college or university, you must submit official transcripts
from all institutions where you have an academic record. The OIA may request additional credentials as
needed. University policy does not permit students to “start over” and disregard previous work. Failure
to submit transcripts from all previous universities is regarded as falsification of an application and
may be considered grounds for withdrawing an offer of admission or for dismissal.
If you have completed one year (30 credit hours) of full-time post-secondary study, your application will
be reviewed on the basis of your performance in college-level study. If you have fewer transfer credits,
your application will be reviewed on the same basis as Beginning Freshmen.
U.S. citizens and permanent resident transfer applicants are considered under the domestic transfer
application criteria.
Important: If you have enrolled at another college or university, you must submit official
transcripts from all institutions where you have an academic record. University policy does not
permit students to “start over” and disregard previous work. Failure to provide transcripts from
previous post-secondary study is regarded as falsification of an application and considered grounds
for withdrawing an offer of admission or for dismissal from the University.
