Indiana University School of Social Work FULL-TIME SENIOR LECTURER POSITION IN-SOCW 14001 The Indiana University School of Social Work (IUSSW) invites applications for a Senior Lecturer position on the IUPUI campus. This is a full-time, non-tenure track faculty position. This position includes system-wide responsibilities for all IUSSW campuses having the Schools Concentration and will report to the Associate Dean, IUSSW. Anticipated start date is August 1, 2014. The primary teaching responsibility for this Senior Lecturer position is in the MSW Schools Concentration. The teaching load consists of 3 courses during fall, 2 courses during spring, and 2 courses during the summer and may include online teaching. In addition to teaching, the Senior Lecturer position includes administrative duties including addressing new inquiries from current students and non-degree-seeking individuals about Schools Licensure, providing academic advising to current School Concentration students, and managing the administrative duties for a Suicide Prevention Certification. Senior Lecturers are expected to have organizational and oversight responsibilities for concentration courses, participate in course and curriculum development, and, where appropriate, provide training for colleagues. Also, they may oversee and provide mentoring for other full and part-time non-tenure track faculty. Teaching duties may include some course equivalency in field liaison responsibility. This position also carries expectations related to service on School Committees and participation in the School-wide Faculty Senate. Essential qualifications include an MSW degree from a CSWE-accredited program and 2 or more years of post-MSW practice experience. Additional requirements include demonstrated teaching and practice experience in the area of school social work. Preference will also be given to applicants with experience and/or interest in developing skills for online and hybrid (combination of face-to-face and distance education technologies) delivery of courses. Salary is competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience.
