Indiana University School of Social Work Tenure-Track Faculty Positions Available The Indiana University School of Social Work invites applications for two tenure-track positions at the assistant or associate professor level. The positions are available on the Indianapolis and Richmond campuses and will begin August, 2013. Each of these positions are ten-month appointments. Successful candidates will be expected to teach across the BSW and MSW curricula as well as occasional classes in partner campus locations and in the online program. Essential qualifications include: An earned doctorate in social work or a related field; an MSW degree from a CSWE-accredited program; and, at least two years of post-MSW practice experience. Successful candidates should also have a well-articulated research and publication agenda as well as demonstrated interest in seeking external grants to support scholarly activities. Candidates for the title of Associate Professor must demonstrate a history of external grants and scholarly publications to merit appointment at this level. For both positions, preference will be given to applicants who demonstrate teaching experience at the MSW and BSW level. For the position on the Indianapolis campus, preference will be given to applicants who have a demonstrated research and teaching interest in child welfare, as well as to experience teaching in a generalist or foundation curriculum. For the position on the Richmond campus, preference will be given to applicants who can teach research courses in both the BSW and MSW programs, and those who have research and/or teaching experience in aging. Salary is competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience. The Indiana University School of Social Work (IUSSW) has a long and distinguished history that began in 1911. IUSSW offers the BSW, MSW and PhD in Social Work and the AS and BS in Labor Studies. The School has approximately 65 full-time faculty members on seven campuses. The School enrolls nearly 1,500 students in its programs statewide.
