Indiana University School of Social Work Director of Field Education The Indiana University School of Social Work (IUSSW) invites applications for the position of Director of Field Education. This is a twelve-month appointment beginning July 2013. The Director of Field Education provides leadership and administrative oversight across the IUSSW system for the implementation of BSW and MSW field curricula as determined by the respective program committee; assures compliance with all IUSSW field-related policies and CSWE standards for field education; promotes critical analysis and creativity in support of regional differences as they relate to implementation of field education; and, engages in scholarship related to the field enterprise in social work education. Essential qualifications include: An MSW degree from a CSWE-accredited program; at least five years of post-MSW practice experience with a minimum of two years related to field education in an accredited social work program. Preferred qualifications include: PhD in social work or a related field; experience with CSWE accreditation standards as they relate to field education; grant writing experience and evidence of the potential for scholarly productivity, especially in the area of field education or related experiential learning. Salary is competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience. The Indiana University School of Social Work (IUSSW), headquartered in Indianapolis, has a long and distinguished history that began in 1911. IUSSW offers the BSW, MSW and PhD in Social Work and the AS and BS in Labor Studies. The School has approximately 65 full-time faculty members on seven campuses. The School enrolls nearly 1,500 students in its programs statewide.
