Dr. Anita Aldrich Endowed Professorship In Inter-Professional Education Indiana University School of Nursing (IUSON) is committed to being a center of excellence in nursing research, and is currently ranked 13th among schools of nursing in NIH funding. One of the many strengths of IUSON is inter-professional health education, research and practice as is evidenced by its endowed professorship in that area. Located on the Bloomington campus, the Aldrich Professor will focus on providing inter-professional education, research and practice opportunities for students and faculty of the core nursing school (Indianapolis, Bloomington and Columbus). Further, this faculty member will serve a vital role in the Center for Inter-professional Health Education and Practice comprised of the IU health science schools from the Indianapolis and Bloomington campuses. The purpose of the Center is to implement, support, and evaluate programs in team-based education and training across health care disciplines for the purpose of improving patient experiences, improving the overall health of individuals and populations, and reducing the per capita cost of health care. Qualified applicants must hold an earned doctorate in nursing or a doctorate in a related field with a graduate degree in nursing from an accredited school of nursing. The successful candidate will have a record of scholarship suitable for a senior tenure-track position and appointment as a tenured full professor. The applicant must have a program of research and demonstrated record of successful funding. The ability to work with interdisciplinary teams of excellent researchers and possession of interpersonal skills necessary to serve as a mentor and a role model for students and faculty colleagues are essential.
