Indiana University School of Nursing (IUSON), Bloomington campus, seeks qualified candidates for a clinical track/tenure track faculty position. Particular preference is for candidates who have experience in nursing leadership and management. Scholarship and service are expectations for clinical track positions. Research and service are expectations for tenure track appointments. IUSON-Bloomington offers a thriving generic BSN program and RN-BSN program. Indiana University School of Nursing, comprising campuses in Indianapolis, Bloomington, and Columbus, has the distinction of being recognized as a Center of Excellence in two categories simultaneously: Creating Environments that Promote the Pedagogical Expertise of Faculty and Creating Environments that Advance the Science of Nursing Education. Indiana's third continuing designation for Promoting Pedagogical Expertise of Faculty is effective for five years, from 2012 through 2017. The primary clinical sites are Magnet®-designated facilities. Qualified applicants appointed to the clinical track must hold a master's degree in nursing with a doctorate in nursing or a doctorate in a related field preferred. A doctorate is required for appointment at clinical associate professor rank or above. Applicants appointed to the tenure track must hold an earned doctorate in nursing or a doctorate in a related field with a master's degree in nursing. Scholarship and research activities specific to the given track are an expectation. Appointment to academic rank and salary are dependent on demonstrated scholarly achievement and teaching experience. The position is available August 2012 and the search will continue until the position is filled.
