Indiana University School of Nursing (IUSON) seeks qualified candidates for a senior level tenure track position with a research focus in behavioral oncology. The successful candidate will also hold the title of the Robert Wallace Miller Chair in Oncology in the School of Medicine, Indiana University. The scholar who holds this endowed chair will be a dynamic, visionary nurse researcher. This individual will provide leadership and with work with the leadership team, nurse scientists, School of Medicine and Cancer Center physicians and scientists, and our strong clinical partners in Indianapolis to continue to build a world class research enterprise to improve health and well-being of individuals with cancer. Qualified applicants must hold an earned doctorate in nursing or a doctorate in a related field with a graduate degree in nursing from an accredited school of nursing. Experience in a proven research program in the area of behavioral oncology and a track record of external funding from the National Institutes of Health, or the equivalent, teaching experience in higher education; leadership as a senior faculty member, and interpersonal skills necessary to serve as a mentor for students and faculty colleagues are required. Successful applicants must also have a record of scholarship suitable for a senior tenure-track position and experience appropriate for appointment as a tenured full professor and endowed chair.
