Indiana University and the Regenstrief Institute, Inc., Center for Biomedical Informatics are seeking outstanding candidates for multiple positions as scientist-track faculty in biomedical informatics. We are in search of candidates with broad knowledge and expertise in biomedical informatics, specifically those with interests related to: Midcareer/senior and junior faculty positions in biomedical informatics: We are looking for candidates with broad knowledge and expertise in biomedical informatics. Particular foci of interest include: " integration of genomic, proteomic and related information with electronic health records " consumer health and personal health records " data analytics and visualization " research informatics " cognitive systems engineering/human computer interaction For the midcareer/senior level, candidates must be eligible for at least the rank of associate professor and for the junior level, for the rank of assistant professor. Qualified candidates will possess the following qualifications: MD, DO, DMD/DDS or PhD degree; training in biomedical informatics through advanced degree programs, fellowship training, or comparable experiences; and rank-appropriate proven and exemplary record of scientific discovery, peer-reviewed publications, and potential for securing extramural grants and contracts. For midcareer/senior level candidates: " experience as the principal investigator of large research projects " demonstrated exceptional program leadership and management " proven track record in the development and mentoring of trainees and junior faculty " ability to promote effective teamwork in a rapidly changing multidisciplinary research environment For junior level candidates: " evidence of significant promise for relevant, independent research " ability to work productively and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary research environment Housed in the successful and internationally recognized Regenstrief Center for Biomedical Informatics, all positions will be part of a dynamic and growing team of approximately 15 faculty and 80 research staff. A research affiliate of the Indiana University School of Medicine, the CBMI is a leader in electronic health records, health care data integration, clinical decision support, biomedical informatics standards, and global and public health informatics. Its mission is to improve quality, efficiency, and outcomes of healthcare locally, nationally and globally and to develop the next generation of national and global leaders in biomedical informatics. The Regenstrief Institute is located on the IU Medical Center campus and will be moving (anticipated date: mid-2015) to a new facility in close proximity to its collaborative research partners: Eskenazi Health, the Roudebush VA Medical Center, IU Health hospitals and the Indiana Health Information Exchange.
