Eugene and Marilyn Glick Eye Institute Indiana University School of Medicine Department of Ophthalmology Academic Position: Research Associate The Eugene and Marilyn Glick Eye Institute and Indiana University School of Medicine, Department of Ophthalmology is seeking an outstanding Research Associate who has experience in vision research. This position is full-time with competitive salary and fringe benefits depending on level of experience. Candidates are expected to hold a Master's degree in Molecular Biotechnology. Candidates must have experience in human genetics projects and ophthalmology visual science research. Must have experience in tissue culture with various cell lines (HeLa, Hek293T, Huh-7, HepG2, Raji, Mouse Primary Hepatocytes, Mouse embryonic fibroblasts, HCT116); Molecular cloning, Adeno-associated virus (AAV) production and purification using lodixanol gradient. Duties will include, but not limited to, coordinate and implement research under the direction of the Principal Investigator in accordance with the standards of the University. Act as liaison with collaborators and regulatory agencies; train health professionals, assist in the maintenance of databases and proper documentation.
