The Department of Anesthesia of the Indiana University School of Medicine is seeking an outstanding investigator for a non-tenured faculty position at the rank of Assistant or Associate Scientist. Someone knowledgeable in possible genetic predispositions that affect treatment efficacy and adverse effects associated with chronic pain management in children and adolescents. The successful candidate will participate in translational research will also be expected to develop their own scientific direction as well as learning new scientific methods, which can lead to new projects, fresh directions for existing projects. In addition, by establishing collaborations with clinicians, clinical researchers, and basic investigators in other disciplines, the applicant will be expected to provide new insight into areas of ongoing scientific research within the department.
