Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis has a faculty position available for a scientist-track Assistant Research Professor in the Department of Medicine, Division of Cardiology. The successful candidate must have either a PhD or MD degree, and extensive experience in the study of cardiac calcium handling proteins at the cellular or membrane levels. Experience in molecular biology, protein purification, and protein crystallization are required. Candidates must also have familiarity with basic SDS-PAGE and immunoblotting techniques. The successful candidate should have demonstrated promise in conducting independent research. The candidate is also expected to compete for extramural research grant supports, and to mentor learners at IU School of Medicine to conduct scientific research.
