The section of Pediatric PM & R at Riley Hospital for Children at IU Health seeks a Section Director of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation. The Director will provide medical staff leadership to the section, including inpatient rehabilitation unit, and outpatient practices in a pediatric level-1 trauma center. Frequent patient diagnoses include trauma, TBI, SCI, neurological/neurosurgical disorders, burn, musculoskeletal injuries, developmental anomalies, pain syndromes, and spascitcity management. Other expectations of the position are recruitment and oversight of medical staff in section, clinical program development, initiation of research and ultimate development of a pediatric rehabilitation training program for residents and fellows, and ability to develop a world-class program with many pieces already in place. Physician will also demonstrate supportive administration and medical staff leadership and ability to lead design of care model and new rehabilitation unit. This position is 30% inpatient 70% outpatient. This faculty position also requires the candidate to hold an appointment with University Pediatrics Associates (UPA) , an affiliated professional organization.
