Faculty Positions Department of Microbiology and Immunology Indiana University School of Medicine www.iupui.edu/~micro/ The Department of Microbiology and Immunology at Indiana University School of Medicine and the IU Simon Cancer Center is seeking outstanding candidates with research interests in the major groups of oncogenic viruses at the Associate or Full Professor rank. Preference will be given to candidates working on hepatitis C, hepatitis B, Epstein-Barr virus, human papillomavirus and viruses responsible for HIV-associated malignancies. Applicants are expected to participate in the development of a viral oncogenesis research group within the IU Simon Cancer Center, have external grant support, and participate in teaching graduate and medical students. Candidates should hold a Ph.D., M.D., or M.D./Ph.D. and demonstrate a record of productive and high quality research. Academic credentials and existing extramural grant support will determine faculty rank. Highly competitive start-up packages are available including ample laboratory space. The scientific environment at the School of Medicine is highly interactive and productive with ties on campus to other Basic Science and Clinical Departments, and Research Centers including those focused on cancer, HIV, immunobiology, and allergic diseases.
