The Department of Radiology and Imaging Sciences is seeking applicants for a tenure-eligible, full-time faculty member to join the Division of Nuclear Medicine at the Indiana University School of Medicine, located on the campus of Indiana University-Purdue University in central Indianapolis. The candidate must be board certified by the American Board of Nuclear Medicine, the American Board of Radiology and obtain a licensure by the Indiana State Board of Medical Examiners. The candidate will be expected to actively engage in translational and/or clinical research and scholarly activity that promotes responsible conduct of research within the Department and Institution. The candidate's goal will be to develop an independent research program in nuclear medicine and molecular imaging and lead in collaborative research in the use of novel tracers for biomedical imaging in patient care. The candidate will practice clinical diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine in an exemplary manner to standards set forth by the Indiana State Board of Medical Examiners and the American Board of Nuclear Medicine for oncologic, cardiac and neurologic imaging. The Department of Radiology and Imaging Sciences, is celebrating its 95th year in existence. Our radiologists are regionally, nationally, and internationally known for excellence and innovation in clinical care as well as their many contributions to Radiology and its subspecialty areas. We have one of the largest radiology residency programs in the country. We have an outstanding, state-of-the art research faculty and facilities. It is the mission of the Indiana University Department of Radiology and Imaging Sciences to advance health in the State of Indiana and beyond by promoting innovation, excellence, and leadership in patient care, education, and research. The Department is one of the largest departments in the country with over 100 full-time physician faculty, 60 residents and over a million imaging studies per year across the medical campus.
