INDIANA UNIVERSITY PURDUE UNIVERSITY, INDIANAPOLIS Purdue School of Engineering and Technology Department of Engineering Technology Position Announcement Faculty position in Biomedical Engineering Technology. Anticipated start date is January 2009. Responsibilities: Support the baccalaureate program in biomedical engineering technology by teaching at the undergraduate level. Other responsibilities may include teaching courses in circuits, digital systems and/or microprocessors, advising students, and service to the department, school, university and profession. A tenure track position will also require the faculty member to develop and execute a research program in clinical facilities management and applications of six-sigma techniques to the clinical environment. Qualifications: Ideal candidates will have a master's degree (for rank of lecturer) or earned doctorate (for tenure track position) in administration, business, technology or related discipline and at least three years of clinical experience. Applicants should be knowledgeable in the area health care facilities and technology management including codes and regulations, including NFPA 99 and 101, infection control and the equipment used in patient care. Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States and meet guidelines to receive federal funding.
