As Indiana's only dental school, and one of the nation's oldest, Indiana University School of Dentistry provides an exceptional learning environment for about 675 students enrolled in 16 dental, allied dental, graduate, and hospital residency programs. Located on the Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis campus, the school is ideally situated for interdisciplinary education, service, and research collaborations. The school shares its location in downtown Indianapolis with IU's world-renowned medical school and its partner, IU Health. Indiana University School of Dentistry invites applicants to apply for a full-time clinical or tenure-track position, at the Assistant/Associate Professor level, in the Department of Pediatric Dentistry. Rank and salary will be commensurate with qualifications. Primary teaching responsibilities include didactic and clinical instruction for the Graduate Pediatric Dentistry Program based at Riley Hospital for Children. Riley at IU Health is recognized as one of the top 50 children's hospitals out of hundreds in the country by U.S. News & World Report. Riley Hospital for Children strives to provide the most advanced care and premier pediatric research in the nation. Some teaching in the pre doctoral program is required. Qualifications: Candidates must have a DDS/DMD degree from an accredited U.S. or Canadian dental school; a certificate in pediatric dentistry from an ADA-CODA accredited program; educationally qualified or certified by the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and eligible for licensure in the state of Indiana. Candidates should have hospital experience and will be required to maintain hospital privileges at Riley Hospital for Children at IU Health. Opportunities for extramural and intramural private practice exist as does the opportunity for increased compensation based on clinical contributions.
