A tenure-track appointment is available on August 1, 2014, at the rank of Assistant Professor in the Division of Business at IUPUC. Business faculty are responsible for teaching in the Indiana University B.S. in Business and MBA degree programs. The position is a ten-month teaching assignment with expectations of teaching a variety of courses across the management discipline at various academic levels, conducting and publishing quality scholarly research, and engaging in service. Strong oral and written communication skills are a must. Successful teaching at the university level is very important. Additional responsibilities include appropriate scholarship and participation in service activities at the campus. REQUIREMENTS: Completion of a Ph.D. in management or closely related field by July 1, 2014, and ability to teach a variety of courses in management across undergraduate and MBA levels. Area of specialization is Strategy; however, candidates with a primary focus in another area of management and a secondary focus on Strategy will also be considered. Applicants must be Academically Qualified according to AACSB standards. PREFERENCES: Minimum of two years' experience in teaching traditional and non-traditional undergraduate and graduate students; applied research and business experience with clear evidence of ability to establish a successful research program; ability to bring the international dimension to content areas; and demonstrated capacity to collaborate with faculty across disciplines. Civic engagement, grantsmanship, and/or professional experience a plus. Preference will be given to applicants who have a record of effectiveness and innovation in university level teaching and an interest in pursuing hybrid or online course delivery. IUPUC is a growing institution with high potential. The Columbus Learning Center incorporates resources from IUPUC, Ivy Tech Community College, and Purdue University College of Technology to provide a focal point for community learning. IUPUC is located one hour south of Indianapolis, 1¼ hours from Louisville, and 1½ hours from Cincinnati.
