The Section of Neurological Surgery at Indiana University is recognized as a leader and innovator in the field of internal fixation of the spine. We are fully independent in the anterior and posterior instrumentation of the cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine and train our residents in these techniques. In the last five years, all residents who had finished training at Indiana University feel competent in the instrumentation of the cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine including pedicle screw instrumentation.
